The Margarita stepped onto the cocktail scene around the middle of the 20th century. Many claim to be its cocktail Daddy -so many in fact that we won’t waste your time with those claims. What is important is that this symphony of citrus and agave has grown so viciously popular that it dominates the cocktail scene in the United States and abroad. Thanks Jimmy Buffet (may he rest intoxicated).

We never intended to make a Margarita - let alone bottle and sell it to all of our thirsty friends. But after a number of ill-fated experiments on a quest to create a Zero Proof Oaxacan Old Fashioned - we were left with a silk smooth liquid that reminded us a bit of Tequila. This Agave Spirit is made from pineapple husk, bell pepper, and black peppercorns for vegetality and a teenie weenie kick. We further add a blend of minerals to evoke the earthiness found in agave spirits.

You’ll never try this liquid - because it certainly isn’t Tequila. What you will try is what happens when we dose that gift from Accident Heaven with a Pineapple Shrub and our hand-crafted Margarita Mix. A true Oopsie Poopsie Moment, but one that will knock those socks right out of your sandals.

The Piña Margarita has got it all. Its got a bit of spice, multiple types of tang, and just the right balance of fruity pineapple. We use a blend of three different vinegars both as a natural preservative and to mimic the bite of booze - don’t overthink it, its delightful. The result is your not only your new Zero Proof cocktail obsession - but one that’s also a little bit familiar.

Pero Like…What Else Can It Do?

  • Piña Paloma

    3 oz IGZP Piña Margarita

    1 oz Grapefruit

    0.5 oz Lime

    1.5 oz Soda Water

Add all of the non-bubbly ingredients to a set of shaker tins and shake with gusto. Add the bubbles to a tall glass with ice and strain the shaken liquid atop.

  • Margie Spritz

    2 oz IGZP Piña Margarita

    2 oz Sparkling Wine

    1 oz Soda Water

Select your finest stemmed glass and add cubed ice. Add both liquid ingredients and lightly jostle with a silly spoon.

Garnish with a healthy slice of pineapple, orange, lime, or perhaps an umbrella.

  • Frozen Piñeapple Margarita

    4 oz IGZP Piña Margarita

    A Blender

The exact recipe of this will vary wildly based on your blender and type of ice.

Start with about half a cup of ice and blend on high until smooth. If to watery, add a little bit more ice and re-blend. If too solid, start over and try a little less.

Once you find your true balance: blend away and garnish with pineapple fronds, flowers, and whatever degree of twisty silly straw you feel comfortable having.
