who are we?

Well well well..

Dear intrepid reader,

Here you are, nearing the end of our journey through this website odyssey. We will now seize the opportunity to give you some more background on this fledgling business and who is behind it.

Firstly, let’s hop into the Way Way Back machine and go back to the beginning of our website and consider the phrase:

I’m Good

Are you refusing another beverage? Exclaiming your perfectly achieved state of bliss at a show? Are you lying to yourself or someone else? Do you simply refuse to use proper grammar?

Whether you are doing well, doing poorly, or doing pretty kinda sorta ok - many of us gloss over our true state with a meaningless “I’m Good”, often to make it through an interpersonal encounter unscathed.

Everything you’ve read on this website was made by a guy who’s used this lie a lot - and that’s ok. After all, who hasn’t lied to themselves to push through a rough day - perhaps one following an indulgent night.

After many many years of this repeating behavior - I put on my big boy shorts and made a change. I decided to treat myself better - not perfect, mind you - but better. As I did, the amount of times I said I’m Good and meant it, began to outweigh the times it was a lie.

The point of this rather vague and detail-less story is this:

No matter where you, dear reader, find yourself on your life’s journey, you will probably find yourself saying I’m Good from time to time. Whatever you mean when you say it - we’re here to support you when you do.

We want to build community

The Zero Proof movement is rapidly growing. It is not a fad. This shift towards mindfulness and treating one’s body better is here to stay. What we at IGZP aim to do (in addition to selling as many of these goshdang drinks as we can make) is to bridge the gap between the drinking and non-drinking communities. A person’s identity as sober, sober-curious, full-throttle guzzler, or mindful imbiber matters not, and separating these parties only serves to isolate.

A fat dollop of wisdom I once absorbed through a TED Talk is this: the opposite of addiction, is connection. Building community and connecting people is the true antidote to many woes that we as 21st Century humans find ourselves battling.

We are a brand new bouncing baby business - and at this moment are focused on filling orders and making it through the next day. Yet, baked into our soul is the intention to bring people together and to support. We plan to use this brand as a foundation to build a more secure future for all of us.

We will give back

In the same way that our vast, bold plan to build community requires a certain level of initial success, the same is true for our charitable intentions. We are structuring our business to provide financial support to charities that provide health services to those facing Substance Use Disorder as well as other causes as we see fit.

Laughably, when our first printing of labels we’re made, we committed to donating 1% of our profits to charitable organizations. Once a couple sales were under out belts, we realized such a commitment was not much of a commitment at all. We will actually be donating 2% of our sales to charity.

We are so fresh out of the business oven, that we believe it would be disingenuous to discuss these charitable intentions before doing any.
